Fellow singleminded rider Craig Standage crests Senghenydd moor as we get in some more rides in the last week before the Velothon (like packing in last minute exam revision).
On Sunday we’ll be joining 18,000 other riders at the Velothon, the UK’s largest closed road sportive. Our ride will be a bit more challenging than usual, as we attempt the lumpy 140km course on singlespeed bikes. Mine is geared 42 x 17, which means some wincing on the climbs. It’s all in aid of a new charity initiative I started a wee while ago; Singleminded. All monies raised will go directly to Cancer Research Wales, The Royal Marsden and Velindre Hospitals.
