The only rider in the village

That’s me. The only rider in the village. With high winds buffeting the trees and rain jet washing everything at a 45 degree angle, it’s hardly conducive to good riding.

But…..given the alternatives, I’d still rather be out on the cross bike, carving through mud and sliding around bends and running up steps, all  while buffetted and jet washed and soaking wet, rather than cosseted and shiftless and staring out. Ride on.

  1. My ride today “NBCC Winter’s here, wild winds, rain, cold, multiple tube punctures for Kevin in the snow – what more could you want?” But we mainly enjoyed it apart from that 1/2 hour putting tube after tube into the wheel.
