There are those who prefer to cocoon and coset, to nursemaid and indulge, to pamper and pander.
There are those who perhaps don’t fully see or feel, experience nor expand, or seek beauty in the ordinary, nor marvel in the mundane.
But there are days when clouds are buffeted by altitude winds, when autumn sun casts long shadows, when temperatures have yet to rise and when cool starts produce warm hearts.
There are days when 10 minutes of cycling outweighs infinite minutes of driving, when fresh air in the lungs is greedily taken, when priceless time is spent with rapt offspring.
Days like today.
I’ll never get this time back with my daughter; 10 minutes of healthy commuting, chatting and relaxing. Life moves too fast not to.
