Sea breezes

 ….in inexpected places. The Bristol Channel lies 8 miles to the South, a waterway that’s carried Celtic coracles, Viking longboats, Saxon ships and latterly, paddle steamers. In a stiff breeze, the salty tang of the Channel can be tasted, enjoyed, felt. Chasing my cyclo-cross training buddies, I yomped to the top and took in the view. To this home loving boy, it can’t be beat. In the absence of off-road tyres, heavy duty approach shoes make a fine alternative.
