What to do when feeling a little blue? Head down – or up – to the woods. Spring/Early summer is a fine time to hit the trails, with bluebells blooming beneath a lush green canopy and the scent of wild garlic lingering in the air. Longer evenings mean longer rides and warmer temperatures mean less layers; a recipe for trail riding heaven. These bluebells currently carpet the hillsides in the woods that crest Caerphilly mountain (either side of the trail, I might add).
Bluebell season starts in Mid-April and ends in late May. Check the website of the woodland trust to find a UK Bluebell site near you.
