School’s out

School’s out. Clocks are back. Days have lengthened.
Options are – my friend – greater.
Ignore the distant dark cloud. Grab your bikes, don your jackets.
Hit the trails. Seek out the nooks and crannies.
This is time you’ll not get back, when they’re older and commitments mirror yours.
Sprint up banks. Race between trees.
Skim a stone. Share the jellybeans.
Watch the moon rise over coy spring trees.

Too much time is spent pursuing goals unreachable or unimportant. ‘Adventuring’ in school holidays are a good reminder. The ‘nooks and crannies’ provided by traces of Victoriana along the Taff Trail. Imagery by me.
