JIF kids in the Coryton yard
Well….if you’re at a loose end this Saturday, I’m organising a few bits and bobs for the
Coryton cycling festival Coryton School fête 🙂
The School fête will have lots of activities and stalls – bungee run, bouncy castle, refreshments, cake stall, plant stall, Fire engine etc. But all the cycling activities will take place on the pitch. From 3-6pm on Saturday we’ll be offering the following:
Dr Bike session funded by Sustrans – get your bike tweaked or fixed for free/small donation.
We’ll be running 5 short kids cross races (2 laps); U8s, U10s, U12s, 2 x open race. Kids can pay once and join in with any or all of the races, but only the age group categories will be eligible for the medals (I’ve got Gold, Silver and Bronze for each). Each child will receive a raffle ticket and a pack of haribos (just the once). The raffle ticket will enter them into a draw for an Odoni musette made by il soigneur.
For the adults, there will be fastest lap. Pay once (£1) and try as many times as you like. Again a raffle ticket and cycling musette up for grabs for the fastest time. In between activities, we’ll do some box games and maybe water limbo if there’s enough interest.
Parking will be very limited so bring your bike (naturally).
And the best bit? ……The weather is going to be terrific. See you there?
