It’s an experience, rather than just a route.
Mission accomplished then. Back in April, the opening of the Bath two tunnel Greenway was met with huge crowds, glorious sunshine and a festival atmosphere. This short film captures it magnificently, giving a true sense of the community spirit that has breathed new life into a disused Victorian marvel.
As a cycling destination, there is much to recommend in Bath. Roman remains. Georgian architecture. Hills. It’s all there. Sustrans have provided route details of a short loop (13 miles) that takes in the two tunnels and the Kennet and Avon canal. An ideal family ride, or a great way to end a long ride before a pie and a pint in the Raven and taking the 15.36 from Bath Spa to Cardiff…..Not that I’ve given it any thought of course…. Something for the weekend sir?
