The glorious commute

Bikes in shelter 1

This is what I like to see – our bike shelter choc full of bikes. I can’t say its a daily occurrence, with most of our lads working fairly close, some choose to walk and if the weather is truly dreadful, drive (to much sanctimonious tutting from me). However yesterday, the happy marriage of warm spring sunshine and near windless conditions, produced a critical mass of cycle commuters and gamefully employed our pivoting wall hangers. It was a similar story riding in, with the parks resonating to the click-click-clicking of freewheels. Rather than adopting my usual route through Bute Park arboretum and the civic centre, I took a more circuitous route through Pontcanna, Sophia Gardens  and along the Taff embankment. The weather was simply too beautiful to waste.
