The misfortune of Charlotte’s brompton

Owners risk

This particular bike theft thoroughly annoys me (they all do) and tugs on the heart strings. Charlotte Watters Brompton was stolen from the Stokes Croft area of  Bristol on the 9th of Jan. It was one half of a recent wedding present. Details as follows:

Charlotte's brompton

“I would like to report my bike stolen.
It is a Brompton folding bike . Its black, 5 speed with Sturmey Archer gears.
It has a red sticker on the frame saying Brompton. grey and black grips, front and rear dynamo lights (not working), a rear LED light and an aluminium pannier rack.
It was one of two given to my husband and I as wedding presents in April 2012 (They were both second-hand) .
It was locked outside Hamilton House on Stokes Croft, and was stolen between 10am and 6.30 pm on Wed 9th Jan. I did not lock it with a D lock but  combination cable lock! The lock was cut.

Whilst it’ bloody hard to affect a positive outcome on bike thefts, there’s no question that additional publicity makes it trickier for the thieves to move bikes on. If you suspect that you’ve seen or been offered this bike. Please get in touch with Charlotte on the details above.
