Keep your eyes peeled – Jeff’s stolen Ridley

Jeff's bike low res

Another day, another theft. Only this day should have been memorable for other reasons; on Jeff’s 50th birthday, his Ridley Crossbow was stolen from his garage in Llandaff North, Cardiff. The bike is pictured above with a kit of parts below.  You’ll note some minor differences between the image and the kit of parts – some bits have been changed recently (e.g. the bike was not fitted with mud-guards at the time – Jeff races cyclo-cross in Cardiff Triathlete colours).

Frame No: 6MRD52 06289

Shimano 10sp 105 Front mech
Tiagra 10sp Rear mech
Shimano 10sp 105 STI’s
Shimano 10sp R700 Compact C/set 34/50t
Shimano 10sp 105 12-25 Cass
Shimano PD-M540 Pedals

Wheels: Fulcrum Racing 3’s “2-Way fit”
Panaracer Cross Blaster Tubeless cyclocross tyres (width 31mm)

Ritchey Handle Bars
Ritchey Handle Bar Stem
Ritchey Seat Post

Brakes: Frog Skin Cantilevers

No bottle cages

The only silver lining is that on the occasion of his 50th birthday, Jeff looks under 40 (Happy Birthday Jeff and I hope the bike is recovered). Feel free to tweet, FB and otherwise spread the word. The bike is most likely in the Cardiff vicinity so be very careful if tempted by a second-hand online purchase.

If you have any information relating to the bike, please drop me a line at cyclestuffblog@gmail.com and I’ll pass the details on.

  1. Thieving bastards. Happy birthday Jeff, hope you get it back. Simon kindly posted about my tea leaved Genesis Day One back in June. I never saw it again but it helped me vent my frustration!

    • Thanks for the support Andrew. We’ll keep pushing the message out and I’m convinced that keeping the pressure on via social media can help ( even if it only helps to prevent future thefts). Have you sorted a replacement for your Genesis?
