Very well done to Cardiff JIF team-mate Zac May who is currently enjoying his GB debut at the 6 days of Bremen track meet. Rather upsettingly, he’s 17. Yes. 17.
17 years ago I was a fresh(ish) faced cross country runner, enjoying the odd mountain bike race, earning an honest wage, scraping to pay the bills and doing a ham fisted job of my own ironing. I am officially old. I have lodged an application to be the one on the motorbike. That hat would suit me down to the ground.
Zac May is one of several promising Welsh cyclists. Best of luck to all of the GB team at Bremen.
