Arise the agitos
The king is dead. Long live the King. Under broody Welsh skies, the Olympic rings in Cardiff’s civic centre make way for the Paralympic agitos. A fitting symbol to position so prominently; Cardiff is the home city of Paralympic legend Dame Tani Grey-Thompson. Back in the mid 90′s, I ran regularly around Heath Park and often spotted her whilst she was training (at the time I was a road and x/c runner, keen on the undulations of the Welsh Cross country course). Credit to the engineers hoisting the agitos into place – it was a pretty delicate operation.
The Paralympics start on Wednesday the 29th August (with track cycling starting on the 30th). Non-sign related posts will resume shortly. Honest.
