Summer of sport; bring a brolly, take a pew

Empty seats tip rain drops onto the artifical lawn  of the Hayes

Taking it’s obvious inspiration from Wimbledon (‘Henman hill’),  here is the rather deserted ‘Hayes Hill’ a temporary seated stand provided so that visitors to Cardiff city centre don’t have to miss a second of Euro 2012, Wimbledon or the Olympics. Take a seat, kick back and take in the action on the big screen outside St David’s centre. Better bring a bloody brolly though. What a shame that the UK summer steadfastly refuses to play ball. Lets hope that by the time the road, mountain bike, BMX and track action hots up in London, the weather dries up outside.

Rain is good for grass, less so for spectators.
