Ticket to ride

Summer in Blighty can be a variable affair. The warm sunshine that bathes vit ‘D’ starved limbs can swiftly be replaced by howling gales and rain drops like arrowheads. Such are the vagaries of an island weather system.  But there’s no need to let wet weather ruin fine plans. Arm yourself with two wheels and a train timetable to open a wealth of opportunities. Front up to monsoon on the roads or take a relaxing amble on the rail network. Do as you feel. Mix it up. There is little more liberating than the combination of tracks and treads.
